Spring Lodge Centre provides specialist support for children and young people under 18 in Lincolnshire who have experienced sexual violence. A dedicated team of trained and experienced professionals works alongside each young person, recognising that children and adolescents may not always have the words to describe what has happened. Support is offered regardless of gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexuality or transgender status, so that any young person seeking help is met with the same warmth, dignity and non-judgement.
Adults who are supporting a child or young person are also welcomed at Spring Lodge Centre. Parents, carers, relatives, teachers and other professionals can seek advice, guidance and practical resources to help them respond appropriately if a child discloses abuse. The centre understands how difficult this can be, and how worried adults may feel about doing the right thing, so information is shared in a clear and supportive way that builds confidence in the right course of action.
Working with a child or young person requires patience, sensitivity and specialist skills, which is why the team at Spring Lodge Centre completes additional training and holds relevant professional qualifications. The aim is always to provide a safe, comfortable and reassuring experience, so that the young person feels listened to and respected at every step. Where an urgent risk to a child is identified, the centre works closely with agencies such as the police and children's services to keep the young person safe.
If you are unsure whether what a child has experienced counts as sexual violence, or you are unsure whether to seek help, you can contact Spring Lodge Centre for a confidential conversation. You do not need to have all the answers before you get in touch, and a first conversation is simply an opportunity to talk things through and understand the available support. Advice is given for parents and for professionals such as teachers, health visitors and social workers, helping everyone to respond with care and confidence.
You can contact us any time, on any day — we are open 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, but you can reach us outside those hours too.
Telephone, Face-to-Face and British Sign Language interpreters can be made available so you are able to access the services we provide.
